Wholesale orders can be ordered directly through our website or via our wholesale partners. If you are a retatiler, please contact us here. How We Work

Woven Worldwide releases product ranges throughout the year. Each product is designed and crafted with eternal durabillity and produced in small-batch quantities.

what materials are used in your baskets?

We are dedicated to developing our products in the most environmentally friendly manner possible. We collaborate with farmers who harvest elephant grass from living sources that can be replenished at the same rate as they are depleted.

I have sensitive skin, do you use harsh chemical dyes ?

All of our products are especially designed for sensitive skin and should be gentle enough to be tolerated by even the most sensitive skin types. We avoid aggressive chemical dyes that can cause rather than combat inflammation and irritated skin.

However, everyone's skin is unique and skin can negatively react to any ingredient. For example, some people may find they are sensitive to natural ingredients such as essential oils or fruit extracts, and for this reason we display the full product ingredients within the product page of our website to enable customers to make an informed choice before purchase.

how do your source your baskets?

At the beginning of our company we sourced from 2 suppliers. Since then, we have learned best practices to develop our own team and build one on one relationships with each artisan; void of suppliers.

Our goal is to work with as many artisans and independent artisans as possible. We take great care in direct relationships with each artisan, to ensure quality and so that everyone can enjoy products from our small businesses without any doubts about their origin or quality!

What are you doing to be more sustainable?

Each basket we craft is the product of hundreds of years of Ghana's ancestral weaving methods, and producing with the highest-quality materials. We vet the artisans we partner with and our raw materials to make sure they meet our standards, are good for you and better for the environment. In addition to thinking about the impact on people and the environment, we consider factors like availability, fashion cycles in contrast to Ghana's harvest season and water.

Our sustainability goals are designed to innovate how we design and manufacture, which means that we: thoughtfully consider and care about the raw materials we source, who we source our straw from, the production methods we use and how we engage with artisans.

In addition to our straw selection and how we manufacture, we are also doing what we can by minimizing production quantities with demand-oriented ordering to minimize unnecessary waste and unnecessary production. 

We are on a journey of progress and as we continue to grow and evolve as a business, we are committed to sharing with you, the actions being taken towards positive change to care for the planet and its people.

To us, being sustainable is about responsible and ethical choices and doing our best to do what’s right for our employees, partner artisans and our customers.

do you provide training to artisans?

Due to exposure of international retail environments and cultural lineage, our workshops are truly an interactive process that promote a hybrid of ancestral weaving techniques; weaving quality control, self-identity, and global aesthetics.

Our training standardizes production in an informal market, and provides artisan leaders with tools, resources and innovative ways to preserve and improve heritage techniques.

ARE THERE CHILDREN ON YOUR WEAVING TEAM?

Our products are not and will never be crafted children, under any circumstances.

Is there a pre-order service?

We are doing what we can to balance production quantities with demand-oriented ordering to minimize unnecessary wasted raw material and unnecessary production. 

Shipping

Customs

We have no control over additional charges to customs clearance. If you refuse the package, for this reason, customs authorities may charge us an administration fee, and this fee will be deducted from the requested refund amount.

How long does shipping take? What shipping methods do you use?

All orders are shipped via DHL Express. Please allow 3-4 business days for orders to be processed after your purchase is complete.

Can I track my order?

We typically ship orders in 2-4 business days after they are placed. When your order ships, you will receive an email with a DHL Express tracking link. Please allow 24 hours for the link to activate.

What is your return policy?

We are unable to accept returns on any orders shipped outside of the Canada due to customs, shipping and duty fees. All orders shipped outside of Canadaat final sale.

My order arrived damaged. What do I do?

In the rare event that your order arrives damaged, please reference "What if my Order Arrives Damaged" sssectio.
