What is shipping like?

We usually ship within 5 days from the receipt of your order. If we cannot fulfill your order we will contact you. Shipments may also be delayed due to the current global health crisis. 

Please be aware that customs and duties taxes may be charged by your country upon arrival. Woven Worldwide is not responsible for these fees and cannot determine how much they will be. These taxes are determined by the destination country and are not included in your shipping costs. All duties and taxes must be paid at the time of delivery.

Please note: It is the responsibility of the customer to find out the laws of the country goods are being shipped and to pay all customs charges, duties or VAT.

You'll be able to track your package by using the shipping Confirmation email that we send as soon as your order begins its journey. All deliveries require a signature. All orders are shipped with DHL Express and are fully traceable on their website. You can always contact them if you have questions regarding your shipment.

Your wavy baskets seem to be expensive for items made in Africa! - real question~

Double-weave is a finer, time-intensive, timeless technique and better at showcasing the beauty found in basket weaving in Ghana. Its a difference that you can see upclose or from afar when compared to a single-weaved basket. We invest more time in honouring, training and developing this skillset when working directly with each and every single artisan practicing this skillset. We hand select each Titan weaver that we partner with that crafts our double-weaved products and have direct access we have to artisans is a luxury in itself, but it allows us to make unique and better products to shift the narrative of inferior products made in Africa. Unlike most home decor brands that retail baskets purchase ready-made product through middlemen and trade companies. This does not speak to our Ethos and is not Woven. In order to manage quality control of our products, We personally ensure that artisans are paid far above minimum wage and support artisans and their families beyond money. We will not paint our work as fairytale, saviourship or easy work, but our team has learned that to ensure high-quality produts, we need to go to the lengths that no one else will.

I have an object with me and I would like it to be created into a woven product. Is this possible ?

Sure, let's see! If you would like Woven Worldwide to weave an object in your possession from elephant grass, this falls within our Tier 3 offering. Depending on the object, a mailing address will be provided to you. If the product cannot be shipped to us, we will work together regarding dimensions and final details. If we cannot replicate your object, we are happy to help you find a company that can. It’s not about the transaction for us, it’s about the impact to the artisans and assisting you, the client.

I own a small company and would like to source your products but I may not be able to reach minimums. How does this work?

We understand and Woven Worldwide is more than happy to grow with your business and we have developed Packages to meet your business where it is. Please read our Wholesale page and let’s talk about the minimums that work best for your business.

Please note: As a best practice, we do not connect retailers directly to Artisan groups and walk away. We have a hands-on approach and streamline communication between you, the client and the Artisans.

What after-care instructions do you suggest for your products? ?

All product is crafted with carefully selected materials and should be handled with care for longer product life. the products shipped in 100% cotton dust bags and we suggest product/s be stored in these bags when not in use in a cool, dry environment. Avoid excessive contact with water, oils and detergents.

Will the colour of the products I receive look exactly like the photos on your website?

Please note that while we have tried to accurately display the colours of products, the actual colours you see will depend on your monitor and may not be accurate. We try to name the dyes after universal colour tones like indigo, lime and lemon.

I received an incorrect/faulty product. What do I do?

If you believe you have received a faulty or incorrect product, please contact us directly at sales@wovenworldwide.com with your order number and photographs of the product. Following our assessment, we will advise on how to proceed. Please do not send anything back to us before our confirmation.
